About Ref's Crease
Established in 1980
Eugene Binda founded Referee's Crease LLC in 1980, driven by his passion for officiating, initially starting as an assignor for a few local teams.
Since then, Referee's Crease has grown into a nationwide association, now serving over 1,500 officials and leagues across the country. Our reach spans all levels of hockey, from youth and junior leagues to NCAA and professional hockey.
Our Mission
Our organization is dedicated to recruiting, training, and advancing hockey officials to higher levels of officiating through a thorough and comprehensive development program.
Our long-term mission is to cultivate a pool of officials who consistently apply the rules and officiate the game in a unified manner across all levels of hockey.
Our Goal
The goal of our organization is to Recruit, Develop, and Advance hockey officials to higher levels of officiating, through a comprehensive training program.
It is our long term mission to create a pool of officials who implement rules and call the game in similar fashion at all levels of hockey.
